Reno

Reno is a 5 yr old red dun grade gelding. He stands about 14 3 and weighs around 1050 with good bone and feet. He has been heeled off of and is going well. Plenty of speed and takes and nice smooth corner. Ranch ridden and used to gather, sort, pair out, and drag calves to the branding fire. He is a want to please sort of horse that anyone could polish for a full time heeling or breakaway horse. See him at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7frrM-DfW0.

Tim

Tim, or CD Colored Light, is a 2006 model tobiano paint gelding with awesome bloodlines. Just about 14 2 and 1050 lbs. He has lots of get up and go, but still sweet minded and tolerable of Tage and all the commotion around our place. We have used him in the feedyard pulling sick cattle, and outside covering lots of ranch country. He is started heeling and getting better by the day. Our goal for Tim is to get him heeling and breakawaying strong and he is already showing us he has all the ability and brains to do everything we ask.

Red

Red is a 16 yr old soggy, sorrel head and heel machine. He stands approx 15 2 and weighs 1250 with lots of bone. Excellent for the beginner roper to most experienced. He is an honest, hardworking, blue collar rope horse that you can take to a jackpot and, unless you flat out miss, you will be in the money. Quiet in the box, breaks smooth and quick, faces up nice, and corners like he is on rails. Kid tolerable, willing and very kind. Trims, clips, bathes and hauls like a dream. Been to many jackpots and little ropings locally so he has seen some trailer miles and hauls great. See him at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlX3qLAhLbw and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAgU-Sm5hT8.

Mick

winter 2008       summer 2009

Mick 2 years old and one of the most respectful 2 year olds I have seen in a long time. Tage leads him around, can make him back up and set his feet like a halter horse. He has a great mind, and just like Slider and Sarah, he is willing to please. Can't get enough of these OSU horses! Mick is riding around nice and we will use him this winter alot to check cattle. He is going to be a big success at whatever he tries. See him and Tage at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g2uhMdLMSs. And Trent on Mick at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYcUal0EpyY.

Dallas

Remember Barbie's horse, Dallas? Well, this guy is pretty darn close. A June 13, 2001 model palomino gelding with a soft eye, nice conformation, and willing disposition, dallas will do exactly what you ask of him. This guy stands a shade under 15 2 and carries plenty of bone. He has been used for Team Sorting and Ranch Rodeo type events, and has gathered and sorted cows on the ranch. Used to drag calves to the fire at branding time, and is a real "want to please" type of horse. Not only is Dallas a solid ranch horse, but with very little effort, he would make a nice head horse as well. Kid tolerable, not much bothers him and not a mean bone in his body. Clips, bathes and trims great. See him at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncryz3iUMx4.      SOLD to Cody, WY.

Chic

TR Tanquerey Chic or "Chic" as we call him, is March 2005 model, sorrel gelding with just the right amount of "chrome". Chic stands about 14 2 and weights around 950. He is b-r-o-k-e and one of the kindest, most willing horses I have seen in a long time. Ask him to do it, and he always gives 100% no matter what the task. This little gelding is tough too; he has covered mile after Sandhill mile gathering cattle, pairing out and sorting. He has been to brandings, heat detected during A.I. season, and roped and doctord calves in the pasture. This horse has been shown in ranch horse versitility classes, taken to jackpot cuttings, and team sortings and pennings. He is very kid tolerable, and yet not a "put put" horse. The sort of horse that dad can take to a team penning or heel off of at the local jackpot, but also something that the kids can do goats on, flag race, breakaway, or even poles.  Not only has this horse every sort of vocation under his name, he is also the half brother to AQHA Amateur cutting finalist PEPS DUAL WHEELS, $35,670 and to Congress Open Derby Champion YOUNG MISS OLENA, $21,396. Chic's sire, Chick's Achy Braky, was a NCHA money earner of $64,480 and 146 AQHA points. Backed by royal blood lines, this gelding has a kind heart and a good mind - one you will not find every day.

  Benny

Benny is a May 2007 model, black gelding with a low, flat trot and a lope that screams "pleasure horse". He is going to be long and tall and thick in between and is that deep, dark black with just the right amount of "chrome" to make him look like a show horse. Not to mention, his long, signature gray tail. He is soft as a whisper in the face and nothing bothers him. See him at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-dJHA8Uovg. A hard one to let go, but we are certain he is going to be irreplaceable to you Travis! SOLD TO TRAVIS AND SHERI NEWMAN OF PAINT LICK, KY!!!

 Woodrow

Would you believe Woodrow is just a 3 yr old? He is built like a brick house, smart, and athletic. Will cut a cow, work the fence, sort, pen, take his leads and spin like a reiner. Will mature to around 15 hands and already has plenty of bone to carry all that muscle. Been used on the ranch for everything under the sun from A.I. to moving cows and taken to a million brandings to drag calves to the fire. There is essentially nothing that bothers this horse. SOLD TO MN!!!!

Bo

Booher Jason Joe or "Bo" is a July 12, 1999 model, gray gelding with a set of wheels under him - he can flat move out. He stands approximately 15 hands and weighs 1100 lbs. Bo has been used as a bulldogging horse (with over $7000 in PRCA money won), hazing horse, picked up off of, and most recently started his heading career. This horse has plenty of run and will not get beat. He is probably more suitable for a confident rider as he is not one to wait forever in the box. Been ranched off of, gathered and sorted cows, been to branding and after branding and seen his share of sandhills. He knows what it is to work for a living.

  Smokey

Smokey is a 4 year old, 14 3 hand, 1050 lb, flashy grulla gelding. He has shoulder barring, frosted mane, line back....the works. Started heeling and coming along. Big stop and soft in the face. Moves off your leg and will do any thing you ask. We have also used him to move cattle and sort, covered alot of country in the Sandhills of Nebraska and doesn't know the word "quit". Cute little head, kind eye and a big hip. So much cow he should have horns. This guy is tough and will go all day. Great mind for a young horse. Rides with loose rein and has a big, big heart. Keep your eye on this guy.

Another Kentucky born and bred beauty. Rebel is an April 2005 model, bay roan, and built right. He has an awesome start and comes to us from Jamie Brown in Marion, Ky. Has been used on the ranch for sorting, doctoring, pairing out, heat detecting, and moving cows. Been used in the feedyard to pull sick calves and ride pens. Head or heel off of him, he is started and good in the box. Better yet, sort one, pen him, or steer stop - he does that too. He will work like a dog for you all day long and never balk once. A real want to please attitude and a truly kind soul. Moves great off your feet, and will pin his ears back and eat a cow. This horse would make an excellent working or reined cow horse and would show very well.

SOLD to Normand Lambert of LaGrange, Texas.

Barbie

"Barbie" (nicknamed due to his blonde mane and tail), is not your typical cutting horse. He is 3 yrs old, 15 hands and 1100 lbs and still growing. He has plenty of bone and size and all the moves of a little horse with the pedigree to back it. We have used him on the ranch to gather cattle, sort, pair out, and even taken him to a couple of brandings and drug calves off of him. He is starting to track the Sparky steer and getting more and more used to the idea of roping a critter rather than cutting one. No spook or buck, just puts his head down and walks right out.  He still cuts too!  Would make a nice team penning or sorting horse and, with time, he will make a nice head horse as well.

Shorty

"Shorty" is a once in a great while sort of horse. He stands about 14 3 and weighs 1080 and still growing and changing. Quite a bit of bone and structure to this guy - he will suprise you. Ms. Beau

Beau is a sorrel 6 year old grade mare that stands 14 1 and weighs 1000 lbs. She has a big butt and knows how to plant it in the dirt. This mare was originally purchased as a yearling for a sinful amount of money, trained for two years as a reiner, and then found herself in the middle of her owners' divorce. In the process, her papers were burned. I am not sure if papers can be recovered as we do not know her registered name, but we do know that she is out of Top Sail Whiz and a Reminic mare. She is a kind and sweet horse with lots of cow. For what she is, she is a steal. See her at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPcO74slpgY and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFj_vVCm70Y

Gentle and kind for nearly everyone but still has plenty of "get up and go" to get you there. Beaver has a large "war wound" on his right hip which does not affect his performance in any way and can barely be seen due to his dappling. See him at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOCvgftCbl0. SOLD to Joel Graves of Northern Montana!

Has been trained as a heading horse at NRS Training Facility for 7 months in Decatur, TX, and is a Cadillac. He has got what it takes to be "the real deal." The only reason he is for sale is that we are both smaller people and he just doesn't fit either of us size-wise. Used at branding time, gathered cows, and heat detect during AI season. He is an awesome horse! Good with kids--our little boy rides him. See him work at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6PCbCQEe1A .
