We are a 6000 acre cow/calf ranch based in the Sandhills of Nebraska near Dunning and Halsey. In addition to the ranch, we also own and operate a 5,000 head feedyard just outside of Lexington, Nebraska. Between the two, we feel we touch on many aspects of the cattle industry. About the Feedlot

Licensed for 5,000 head capacity, we are able to background or feed out cattle for a competitive price. We feel there are a lot of advantages we can provide you in today's market place. We have a consulting nutritionist available to modify rations as markets shift and commodities increase or decrease in price. We also have a consulting vet less than 2 miles away available at any time to advise on our cattle program.

About the Ranch

We run over 200 head of Angus and Registered Purebred Angus cows on the ranch. We market the calves around fall and generally take them to the feedlot for weaning. Typically, we AI our cows to be bred and then clean up with Conealy Angus Bulls. We have tracked the history of our cattle and nearly every year, our heifers were purchased as replacements for someone's cow herd.

Because of the nature of our business, we also ride a lot of horses on the ranch for just about everything. That is how we came upon the idea of riding and selling a few. We look for a big hip, and kind eye, and gentle personality in a horse. We also ride a loose rein and look for a horse with natural ability with cattle that is athletic, muscled and strong. All of our horses are arena ridden and also rode out in the pasture whether to move cows, check water, pair out, heat detect, or ride fence. Our horses are stalled regularly under fans on hot summer days and let out at night when it is cool. During winter, they are blanketed on harsh days and depending on the calving schedule, sometimes get to come inside. We take a lot of pride in the fact that they look as good as they ride. We have 14 box stalls and a 80 x 200 indoor barn that allows us to optimize our time with these horses regardless of the time of year. We strive to present to you a horse that you can be proud of for his/her looks and performance.
